The food is good and imaginative, and the staff are friendly. There’s also an outdoor pool, play areas, and spots to sit and take in the views. It’s quite isolated, but the lovely mountain setting makes that easy to accept.

The rooms are rather small and there’s no air conditioning, but the bar and restaurant have affordable prices. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the swimming pool comes with unbelievable views.

The hiking made for a really enjoyable week. Our guide was exceptionally friendly and very capable, keeping up his energy and enthusiasm on trails with some very steep climbs. We had a wonderful welcome from our hosts at L'Alpette, and discovering this place run by hoteliers who are hikers was a real highlight. I highly recommend the experience.

We came for a snowshoeing trip, and the guides were fantastic. They took us out each day to find snow in the hotel's comfortable vehicles. The hotel itself is lovely and comfortable, and the couple running it are incredibly attentive and always available. The staff are dedicated and friendly too. A truly excellent place to stay.

Benoît and Valérie looked after us so well and cooked delicious meals. The mountain guides were top-notch too. We had a fantastic active holiday at this hostel, and we'll definitely be back! :)
