Quality Aparthotel Reims - Saint-Thomas

We stayed for one night yesterday on our way to Italy and had a relaxing time. The apartment was quiet and pet friendly, with good air-conditioning that we could adjust. It had everything we needed except a washing machine, which would have been useful. The city centre is about a 10-minute walk away, and there are lots of shops and pastry shops nearby because of the central location. Free parking outside the hotel was handy. Overall, a great place to stay.

The apartment was a good size, with a small kitchen for self-catering, comfy beds, blackout blinds, and a large wet room. The area was reasonably quiet. Secure underground parking is available with a reservation for €5 a day. It’s a great base for a short stay in Reims, the champagne capital of France. The centre is a short walk away, about 15 minutes to the stunning cathedral and another 10 to the Basilica, which was sadly closed when we visited. There’s loads to see, lovely architecture, and plenty of friendly bars. The museum of the rendition is five minutes away and worth a visit. I’d skip the continental breakfast next time, though, at €12 per person.

Our room/studio was spotless, spacious, and well equipped, with a welcoming entrance, a large sleeping area with a queen-size bed, a small kitchenette and dining table, and a roomy bathroom. The property combines senior living with rental accommodation, and the welcome was warm. It’s very convenient, a 15-minute walk from the Arena or just a few minutes by tram from the Boulingrin market. Highly recommended.

The apartment itself was perfect, but the basics weren’t covered for what we paid. The sofa bed had no sheets, so we slept right on the mattress, and there were no pillowcases either. I found that unacceptable at this price. They also didn’t change the bath towels, and we had just one roll of toilet paper for three days.
