A superb gîte in a fantastic spot to watch the Tour de France. I’d highly recommend it.

The Château de Vaux treasure hunt is well worth doing if you want an activity. The cottage itself is lovely, with two separate bedrooms that work well for four people. The host is incredibly attentive, and the amenities are top-notch.

Set in the countryside, the house is close to Troyes and Laurains Nursery, which makes it a great fit for garden lovers. It’s beautifully furnished, with the owners’ carpentry workshop right across from it. There’s a lovely area for cooking and spending evenings together, and it works perfectly for four, with a bedroom and its own bathroom both upstairs and downstairs.

The owners were welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and we’d return without hesitation. The restored cottage is tasteful, quiet, warm, functional, and clean. It lives up to the photos.

A friendly hostess and very nice accommodation. It worked well for our stopover and for visiting Troyes.
