A great spot to switch off for a while. The bed deserves a special mention, and breakfast had lovely homemade things. The guesthouse has plenty of history, but also all the comforts we wanted. Our hosts were so welcoming that settling in felt easy.

We found Le Moulin de la Croix wonderfully quiet, and the surrounding region has such charming scenery. Our room was just right, and the bathroom was both unusual and well equipped. We especially enjoyed the large garden and superb pool. The rooms were tastefully decorated, and everything was spotlessly clean. It’s a beautiful place with a lot of history, and the welcome was exceptional. Breakfast was excellent, with homemade products.

The park made us want to wander, and its shady trees were just right for a nap after hiking. We only spent one night at the Charnizay mill and wished we could have stayed longer. Our hosts were very warm, the Eveillure room was lovely, and breakfast in the magnificent dining room was delicious. We’d love to come back and explore this charming part of Touraine properly. It’s well worth leaving the usual routes for a stay in such lovely surroundings.

The only awkward part was finding somewhere to eat within 20km, but we’d still consider coming back. It’s a peaceful place with a clean, wooded park that guests can access freely. We got a charming welcome and stayed in a ground-floor room with a fireplace and a bathroom that suited the residence. We didn’t need a TV.
