We only stayed one night as a break while driving through France, but I wish we'd had longer. The village was really nice, and the room was lovely, with careful attention to detail and comfortable temperatures despite the heatwave. The beds were very good and we slept well. The hosts were caring and considerate, even getting up at 7 am to prepare breakfast to go when we needed to leave two hours before checkout. They welcomed us in masks and had taken plenty of sanitisation measures. The stay was better than any five-star hotel I've visited. We had stayed in a lovely château a couple of weeks earlier, but I would still rate this chambre d’hôtes above anywhere else I've stayed. I'd definitely return if we come this way again.

The included food was great, with fresh fruit and one of the best pain au chocolats my French partner has ever had. The location is idyllic, and even though parking is limited, it's easy to find another spot nearby if the available spaces are taken. The English couple who run the place clearly care about it, with wonderful attention to detail. The room and bed stayed comfortable even in the heatwave, and the hosts were very mindful of covid and had the place cleaner than any hotel I've stayed in. My only regret is that we booked just one night. We'll detour here on our next trip through France.

The room was excellent, with great views, and the garden was lovely. Charroux is a very pretty medieval village. The hosts were so welcoming, and breakfast was superb. I strongly recommend No. 15.
