The carrot cake was delicious, and the owners were lovely. We’d just finished a hike when we found Terre d'horizon, so a couple of local beers and those beautiful views made for a perfect, relaxing stop. Such a nice surprise. Definitely recommend.

There’s no wifi, and 4G was patchy, so bring something to read. The bedroom and living room are divided by just a thin sheet, which wouldn’t be ideal for a longer stay with four people. The tiny house itself is modern, nicely equipped, and has beautiful views, with the volcanoes nearby.

We really enjoyed the quiet surroundings and the hikes that start right from the gîte. Leslie, the manager, was always smiling and available, and the food was all spot on: aligot sausage, salad, ice cream for dessert, and breakfast too. We stayed one night, and everything was perfect.

After hiking the Sancy loop, our group of seven friends had a great chance to relax at Terre d’Horizon. The timing worked out perfectly. The hosts were attentive and gave us plenty of helpful advice on finishing the hike. A wonderful guesthouse, highly recommended.
