Parking was easy to find, and reception handled things pleasantly and efficiently. The room itself was clean and perfectly adequate, though nothing special. The bathroom let it down: cramped, unattractive, and without ventilation, with the toilet tucked into its own little room. The building feels prefabricated, with rooms across two floors. I skipped breakfast after my experience at dinner. In the restaurant, service was painfully slow and a bit unfriendly, perhaps because I’m not a native French speaker. The food was ordinary, especially for the price.

We had a really lovely time here. There’s plenty of room to sit outside, and it never felt crowded. Breakfast was generous, and there’s ample parking. It’s just a few minutes from St Bernard and a little farther to Cognac. The hotel felt clean, warm, and unpretentious, with a homely feel. Service was excellent. Thank you, Madame, for always being there for us.
