Auberge du Château

We waited an hour and a half for food that was disgusting, and I couldn’t even finish my plate. It was very low-quality frozen food. Festival-goers may not be regular customers, but that’s no excuse for serving food like this. Calling this place a restaurant is an insult to the industry.

We stopped for lunch while passing through for the No Logo festival, but barely ate a quarter of our plates because the food was so bad. The chef said he couldn’t do better for 9.50 euros, which is incredible to anyone with even a little knowledge of cooking. It felt like everything was frozen and microwaved. This place shouldn’t call itself a restaurant, and I’d avoid it.

The hygiene was appalling, and we left before finishing because the whole meal was so disappointing. There was hair in the food, the water carafe was filthy inside, and there was no presentation at all. Nothing seemed organized. The waitress looked overwhelmed despite there being only 10 customers, and the wait was enormous.

The food itself was good, and the meal was decent. But the restaurant looked outdated, and the glasses were very dirty, brown with dust, as if they’d come straight out of the box without ever being washed. The waitress was smiling but completely unprofessional, though she seemed to be doing her best. In short, the owner can’t find any more waiters.
