Hotel Mercure Aix en Provence Sainte Victoire

This was our third room grade/type at Sainte Victoire, and so far they’ve all felt pretty basic and minimal. I was especially disappointed that the Privilege Room had a completely unheated separate toilet, while the bathroom had only an ineffective towel rail. Provence may be lovely in July, but it’s bleepin’ freezing in December!

We enjoyed the pool and restaurant, and the room was clean and comfortable. We were there for just one night so we could play golf early the next morning. At checkout, the restaurant had charged an extra half-board supplement even though it was already included in our room rate. We weren’t given an invoice to check before paying, so sorting it out took half an hour and made us late for golf. It’s all sorted now.

I only stayed one night while passing through on another trip, but I’m glad I did. I enjoyed my stay, and the receptionist was humble. I hope I can visit this place again in the future. See you, and warm greetings.

We stopped here on the way from Italy to Paris. The hotel is away from the station, but has a beautiful view of the surroundings. Our suite was large and lovely for a group. Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. At night, we could gather in the hotel lobby outside reception.
