La Briarde Médiévale

After a long workday, relaxing by the pool in the garden or on the outdoor patio was just what I wanted. The rooms have a historical feel that made it seem like we'd travelled back in time. The place is really quiet, and the owners are extremely friendly.

The host was lovely and helpful, and knew when to be around and when to give us space. I had the pool and garden to myself in complete peace, in an idyllic setting just a few kilometres from the capital. Dinner was delicious, and the aperitif was especially welcome in that weather and setting. Breakfast on the terrace was a lovely idea. What a pleasant surprise! Thanks, Stéphane, and see you soon. I'll definitely return and highly recommend the place.

Torcy train station, 25 km away, made getting into Paris easy and convenient. We bought tickets there, and it was well worth it. There's a large parking lot beside the station where you can leave the car, and it looked safe. From Torcy you can reach places like Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower. The cottage was very clean and fresh, and the owner made homemade bread for breakfast, which we really enjoyed each morning. Our family of four had a pleasant stay last New Year's, with a very hospitable hostess and host. The welcome was lovely, too. It's a good place to stop and get a proper rest. Truly superb. We slept very well, and the warm welcome was just what you'd expect from a bed and breakfast. It's very close to Eurodiney and good value for the quality, unlike the hotels near the park.
