The owners were really welcoming, and our son spent hours having fun in the pool. We stayed in an original cottage that made good use of its 16 square metres, though it got incredibly hot inside, especially during the heat wave. At night, a terrible sewer smell woke us a few times. I’m not sure where it came from. The site has lots of bungalows, but it’s quite remote, with the nearest decent supermarket about a 15-minute drive away.

There’s plenty for kids here, including toys in the huge games hall, plus movies and concerts some evenings. You can pitch your own tent, rent one of the large tents already set up, or stay in a bungalow. The guest houses are well equipped, which makes it easy to skip the restaurant: dinner there is very limited and overpriced. That was about the only downside to our stay.

We only booked one night, which I regret, because this is the kind of campsite where you can really get away from it all. It was calm, family friendly, and very well run. We loved its strong ecological ethos, and especially appreciated that there were no cars on site. There are free bikes, vegetables to pick, a library, games room, little restaurant, and pool. One of the best campsites we’ve stayed at, and we’d come back.

There’s great organic food, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of space to relax. The camping spots are amazing, and the road beside the site is so quiet, with at most three cars a day. The owners are very nice and speak English.

The pool is amazing, and the food was okay. We had a wooden cabin that was very good, though it was extremely hard to control the temperature inside. The people were nice and so were the camping spots. I’d recommend it.
