Le Cottage du Château

The rooms were clean and the grounds were lovely, and the owners welcomed us warmly. They made a lovely breakfast, and you can also have dinner there if you choose. I’d suggest doing that for at least one night. The views are wonderful, with a castle on the hill, a nearby church, and rolling slopes across the valley. The cottage du chateau is in a charming medieval village, and within 40 minutes there are at least a dozen villages, castles, wineries, plus Beaune and Dijon.

We were surprised by how much dinner included for €145 for four: a four-course meal and a bottle of wine. Breakfast the next morning was generous too, with toast, bread, pancakes, fruit salad, and fruit yogurt. Our room was spacious and clean, with towels, blankets, and even water already there. The hosts were very hospitable and offered us dinner before we arrived. Wi-Fi worked, though the signal in my room was weak. Apart from that, a really comfortable stay, 10/10.

We only stayed one night on the way to our destination and wished we could have stayed longer. The B and B was lovely, very clean, with large rooms, a decent breakfast, and a friendly host.

Corinne made for some really pleasant conversations, and breakfast was delicious. We had a wonderful stay, with a warm welcome and lovely accommodation, and it gave us marvelous memories. We’ll definitely come back.
