We arrived for lunch at 1230, but the "menu" had already sold out. We were offered alternatives that seemed like they might have been leftovers from the day before.

We came back for three nights this October, after knowing and visiting this place for several years. Simone is wonderful, and we were warmly welcomed again. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated, and breakfast was very good. The guesthouse is well located, just a stone's throw from Chaudes-Aigues and its thermal spa, as well as Laguiole and La Chaldette, another spa town. Thanks so much for your hospitality. We were made very welcome in this old hotel, and the rooms were really comfortable. The whole place, including the bar, kitchens, and lounge, was available for us to use. A great choice for small hiking groups.

It might catch you off guard when you first arrive, since it's a very unusual hotel. But the owner is kind, and the rooms are lovely, comfortable, and quiet.

Madame Gascuel let us have the whole gite for three days while we were taking part in the "Trèfle Lozérien". I was especially happy to be back at the mill where I used to eat during work trips. Thanks for the warm welcome and for trusting us with the place. The rooms were very clean and the surroundings peaceful, just right for a lovely family weekend over Pentecost.
