Hôtel de France

After I got home, I was shocked to find that Hotel de France had taken the payment from my account. They still haven't replied to me. This is the only bad hotel review I've ever written, after 17 days driving through France and staying at 13 hotels. It started with a booking through the biggest hotel booking site. The woman at reception greeted my hello with “yes,” then went into the office for five minutes. A man came out waving a piece of paper, looking very angry. I know a little French, so I understood that the booking site had listed the wrong price. I said I'd pay the higher amount, but the owner angrily kept saying he spoke no English. I mimed writing down the new price and got another “No English.” I didn't want to stay after that, so I asked to cancel. He said “Yes cancel” and went back into his office. I was treated very badly by the owners.
