The breakfasts were wonderful, and Charles made us feel welcome with lots of helpful tips about the area. We loved the beautiful room and comfortable bed. We’d happily book here again if we’re nearby, and would recommend it.

La Fournio made a great base for seeing the Cantal region and its lovely villages. We spent three nights in the magnificent day laborer's suite, which felt wonderfully authentic. Albert welcomed us warmly and shared excellent recommendations. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with plenty of variety.

The terrace has a lovely view and was a peaceful place to unwind. This charming regional gîte, more than 200 years old, has plenty of history, and the old-fashioned decor adds to its authentic feel. Everything was very clean. Albert was attentive and always smiling, with lots of good suggestions for exploring nearby. We also enjoyed a generous, varied breakfast each morning. A lovely spot to disconnect and recharge, highly recommended.

The host is attentive and clearly takes pride in making guests feel welcome. The guesthouse has an authentic feel and abundant decor. If you want to get away from the impersonal atmosphere of hotels, this is a stay I’d recommend.
