Maison Zugno

With only a few hours to go before we arrived, Maison Zugno canceled our confirmed booking without proper notice. I called to find out what was going on, and the owner was rude and dismissive. We had followed their policies and were only asking whether they could make a one-night exception for late-night access, but he raised his voice and told us not to come. For a 5-star property, the lack of courtesy and professional communication was shocking. A very disappointing experience.

The spa was a lovely place to unwind after a hike, and we had a great four-course dinner one evening. Breakfast was exceptional too. We spent four nights at Maison Zugno while visiting the Jura region and loved our stay. It's in a beautiful part of France, with hikes, towns, and villages just a short drive away. Laurence and Nicholas were brilliant hosts, always ready to help, and the staff made everything fun and friendly. We'd definitely come back someday. Tim & Megan

The local products at apero and breakfast were great, and we loved the wine. We were on our way to Dijon without a hotel, spotted this Maison by the highway, and got lucky when we called and found a room. We only stayed one night, but it was amazing. The owner was there and made us feel so welcome while we talked. The service was amazing too. We'll definitely return and stay longer.

On our second visit to Maison Zugno, we again found the rooms, linen, and spa superb. The restaurant is excellent, and the cellar has a fantastic selection of exciting natural wines, among the best we've found in France. Service and hospitality feel personal and intimate, a rare quality in hotels of this caliber. For us, it's the finest hotel in Jura. 5/5.
