We came across it by chance and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent value. A warm welcome too. Highly recommend, and thank you very much.

Inside, everything you need is there, and it’s clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The setting is magnificent, with greenery, animals, and such tranquility. A real peaceful haven, and a very pleasant stay.

The only things we liked were the friendly welcome, a reasonably well-equipped kitchen with basic cooking supplies, coffee and tea, and a small 1.40 m bed that was decent quality. At €138.50 a night, the value just wasn’t there. €65 per night would have seemed more reasonable. La Guignardière looks and feels like a manor house in name only. We fled. The entrance was under construction, with unfinished wattle and daub walls and wall chases that left electrical cables and various conduits exposed. Our apartment had been renovated cheaply and without taste. There were lots of stains on the doors and walls, plus damp patches on the windowsill and the shower room skirting boards.
