The breakfast was lovely, with eggs made fresh, fresh fruit, and good coffee. We also had a really good dinner, starting with an aperitif on the garden sofa before choosing the menu. The French cooking was excellent, and the service was very good. We stayed one night on our way back from the South of France, and the riverside setting made a peaceful place to stop. The rooms are very clean and beautifully renovated while keeping their old charm, with great bed linen and towels. The welcome was very friendly. We’d happily come back.

The duck filet and chocolate lava cake were the standouts for me. I chose the three-course dinner, and it was even better than I expected. The food was excellent, the atmosphere lovely, and the prices were great.

The food has good-quality fish dishes, and the interior is charming. It must be even nicer there in spring or summer during the day. The flies hovering over plates and dishes inside, though, were extremely unpleasant. They need to be dealt with, and effective ways to eliminate flies and other insects exist, even without chemicals. Such a shame.

We were turned away when we tried to order drinks at 15.20, even after explaining we'd be quick and wouldn't disturb anyone. The waitress said she had other things to do and no time, and didn't smile or seem interested. It felt very unprofessional. If you're hoping for service with a smile, this isn't the place. We were so disappointed that we had been thinking of bringing a group of 8 people to the restaurant, but now we'll go somewhere else.
