Les Roulottes & Cottages du Moulin

The restaurant was very good, and its terrace was lovely. It’s a peaceful, pretty spot, well placed for cycling the Francette route, and families have plenty of games to keep children busy. Our caravan was clean and well equipped, and the welcome was warm. The pool hours were a real letdown after we arrived by bike in the sweltering heat: it closes at 6:30 pm, which the website doesn’t mention. In August it’s open 10:30 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6:30 pm. Breakfast felt basic for the overall price range, and fresh fruit was missing. Hair dryers are available as an option…

The cold meal included in our package was fresh and delicious, and breakfast was lovely too. They even brought half a baguette and croissants right to our door. Our gypsy caravan, "Anémone," was comfortable, with outlets, extra heating, linens, towels, dishes, and a small fridge. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, always smiling and kind. We could use the pool right after dropping off our things. It was easy to find this splendid spot on the banks of the Loire, and we had a peaceful night surrounded by nature. I highly recommend it. 5/5

The Auberge du Moulin deserves a special mention for its delicious, refined food, pleasant setting, and attentive waitresses. This was our second stay at the Moulin caravans and cottages, five years after the first, and the peaceful surroundings brought us back for a few days of calm. Our cottage was clean and practical for us and our two children, and the pool was very welcome in the summer heat. The staff are lovely and very professional. Third time's the charm, so we’ll most likely return!

A delicious meal and dessert were waiting in the refrigerator when we arrived. The staff welcomed us perfectly, and the beautiful spot along the Mayenne River was so peaceful. We’ve just left this superb place. I highly recommend it, and hope to see you soon! 🌺
