The rooms were clean and tidy, and the gentleman at reception was very friendly. He spoke better English than I speak French. It’s a great spot for walking to the ferry terminal or exploring this beautiful place. I didn’t see an elevator, so it may not work for people with mobility issues. Highly recommend.

There seemed to be some improvements underway during our visit, and the hotel may have potential, but I’d look elsewhere in Cherbourg. The biggest problem was the mildew smell in the rooms and hallways, along with black mold spots in the bathroom and shower. Cleanliness wasn’t up to standard. Staff also promised fresh breakfast and served pastries warmed from frozen. Heated arguments between staff and management took place in front of guests, which made the stay feel unwelcoming. The location is close to Cherbourg’s main bar and club area, so everything is nearby if you’re going out. But the bars were noisy until late, and some rooms don’t have curtains, which could make sleeping difficult in summer.

We missed the ferry and spent a night here. The staff were very helpful and the price was reasonable. Our room was clean, functional, and a good size, with French styling, a TV, Wi-Fi, and bottled water, something pricier hotels don’t always provide. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the town center, with food places for different budgets next door and a cash machine across the road.

The staff were all very friendly, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was included and really tasty. The beds were comfortable, with an extra blanket in the closet as well as the one on the bed. The bathroom was clean and had free soap, a bathtub, and towels. We’ll come back as soon as we can. Highly recommend.
