The location is excellent, close to the city centre and the main tourist sights. The woman at reception was the friendliest person I’ve ever met at a hotel. The bed was far too small for two, and the old mattress sagged into almost a U shape. I woke up with a lot of back pain. Water also drains very slowly and pools while you shower, so I had to turn off the tap several times.

There are loads of free parking spaces nearby, and the hotel is very handy for getting around Cherbourg. My wife and I were blown away. Our room was small but absolutely spotless. Anne is a real character, too. One morning at breakfast she was singing along to Nina Simone! 🥰

WARNING!!! I walked over from the ferry with my bag, only to find a sign on the door saying check-in was possible from 7 pm. The manager wouldn’t even consider letting me check in earlier. What a joke.
