Cherbourg is a lovely port, with beautiful views, good restaurants, and coffee shops. The hotel is very small, but the staff are friendly and the rooms clean, so it’s fine if you just need somewhere to sleep. I’ve taken off a star because it’s hard if you don’t speak French, since the staff don’t speak it either. You’ll need Google Translate. That seems a bit rough for a port city with lots of tourists 😂.

I’ve travelled all over the world, and this is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in in Europe. Really bad. Don’t stay here under any circumstances.

The staff were the best part, extremely welcoming and friendly, and made it a really pleasant stay. The room at the Napoleon hotel was cosy, nicely decorated, and very, very clean. It did need a few minor repairs, but nothing major. I was there on a business trip in Cherbourg, and the location was good, close to the centre and restaurants 🙂. Five stars for hospitality.

We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely return. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was clean and cosy, with a fantastic location close to Cherbourg’s main tourist attractions. There’s no lift, as other visitors have mentioned, so it won’t suit people with disabilities. Being so close to the city centre also meant it could get a bit noisy at night.

They took us in at the very last minute, dog included, and were amazing. The hotel is a five-minute walk from the city centre, with parking spaces right next to it. The rooms were very clean and had everything we might need, and the breakfast was AMAZING! :) Thanks for helping us, and highly recommend this lovely hotel!!!!
