Grande Villa

The way the owner handled our booking and spoke with us was simply deplorable. My fiancé and I had visited because we wanted to celebrate our wedding with our loved ones there in early July. We sent deposit checks to secure the venue and had already begun arranging travel for family and friends. Then, several days later, the owner called to say she was canceling our reservation because she had decided to give the venue to someone else. I assume that other event was more profitable, since the price depends on the number of attendees, or perhaps she needed the venue herself. Her explanation that another contract had been signed didn’t convince me. We’d planned the wedding around the venue’s available date, so now organizing it has become very difficult. She offered to change my wedding date, but I can’t see how that could have been a reasonable solution. We deplore this unprofessional treatment. I’m sure we’ll find somewhere much better, with managers who are more humane. I’m convinced the venue itself is perfect for an event, but this has been a failed experience for us.

The decor is unusual, though taste is personal. We rented the whole property for our wedding reception, and it was just right for a party with friends!

There’s lots of room to gather with family or friends, and the secure grounds make it feel like a little paradise for children and adults. The rooms are comfortable, and the place is well-equipped for all kinds of activities indoors and out. There are plenty of dishes and several very large refrigerators. My one suggestion is to have two dishwashers in each kitchen. A big thank you to Halima, our host, for being so kind and welcoming us with a smile.

The trampoline, billiards, darts, swimming pool, ping pong, jacuzzi and BBQ kept us all happy, and we had a wonderful time. The place was immaculate, spacious and had everything we needed for a memorable stay, a paradise for children and adults alike. A huge thank you to Halima, who made an already great stay even more enjoyable.
