Les Tables de Crespin

Everything worked in the charming room, from the sink and shower to the kettle. The owners were incredibly kind, and the place felt like a peaceful little paradise. My son Michael's wedding was a success in such a lovely setting. I highly recommend it!

The estate is beautiful, and the adjoining park works very well for a reception or a secular ceremony. Inside, the main hall's exposed stone and alcoves give it a naturally decorated look, especially suited to a rustic wedding. The rooms and cottages have comfortable beds and everything you need. The whole property is well maintained. Our stay was affected by several problems, though. The toilets were all clogged less than an hour after the event began, so none were available. We'd heard from people at earlier weddings that this had happened before. The ground-floor rooms were damp and poorly ventilated, with wet floors in the morning. The main manager, Mr. Domergue, denied there was a problem with the drainage system. We asked for a goodwill gesture because there were no toilets during our stay, but he refused. His rigid manner and lack of empathy made the experience worse. Mr. Domergue, it's time to hand full control to your daughter and retire. I believe her modern approach and business sense could help the image of Les Tables de Crespin. Thank you to Emmanuelle for contacting her father to try to resolve things, even though the result wasn't what we hoped for. UPDATE following owner feedback: Yes, we got the keys at noon the day before so we could decorate the hall and grounds, but we didn't use the venue's facilities then. We were only on-site from 5 pm on Saturday, when all the guests arrived for the cocktail hour. Some of our family rented the cottages and rooms for €450 per cottage per night, so it's regrettable that 150 people ended up using their toilets. We already discussed this, but got nowhere because you don't acknowledge the drainage problem, which was already known from previous events. I think it's reasonable to describe our experience objectively. I found the stay satisfactory, but the issues above could be improved.

We had a wonderful time at the estate. The welcome was excellent, and the setting felt both magnificent and exotic. I highly recommend it.
