Naturessime Eco Village&Spa

For a proper change of scene, head to La Cheylade, a little village in the Cantal where you’ll find Naturessime. The scenery and views are breathtaking, and the hosts are so welcoming.

We stayed one night in the trapper's cabin, and it was a memorable experience. It’s spotless and has all the comforts the trapper probably went without: a shower, sink, standard-size toilet, and a little kitchenette with a two-burner gas stove and fridge. The pellet stove is easy to use for heating. Dinner and breakfast came in a wicker insulated cooler, which you haul up to the terrace with a pulley. I highly recommend it. Outside, you can light a small fire in a pottery hut, just be careful, and soak in the jacuzzi heated to 38 degrees Celsius, with lights for nighttime. Bathrobes and towels are provided. The welcome was perfect, and the service was high quality. Such an unusual place, go for it!

The owners were attentive and made us feel very welcome. We had a really pleasant stay, and the apartment is in an ideal location. My only gripe is that the shower is too small. I recommend it.

We came as a big group, and the place worked really well for a family gathering or a weekend with lots of friends. There’s an eating area behind the building, away from the street and village, with games for children and a superb view. The balcony view is magnificent too. The pleasant rooms are fairly well equipped. The bathroom felt a little cramped, and its vanity was a bit low for me at 1.83m, so I bumped my head on it two or three times. The gîte is just two minutes from the village.
