Logis Hôtel Restaurant Spa Parenthèse

The restaurant was amazing, and the room itself was comfortable. Service was great, though I didn't try the SPA. My room, number 1, was close to reception and the restaurant, so it was quite noisy. I wouldn't have slept without earplugs, which is why I took off a star.

The restaurant was gorgeous and worth every penny, but I wouldn't recommend the hotel or stay there again. Our first room's air conditioning never got fixed, and it also didn't work properly in the replacement. We had to push for another room, and by then it was 22:00. We were given all sorts of explanations about noise throughout the hotel, though reception wasn't noisy. The engineer came to check, but it was clear the air conditioning didn't work. We paid €140 for a 'Romance Room' on night 16 of our 18-night tour around France in August 2017. The advertised terrace, jacuzzi bath, view, and especially air conditioning made the price seem reasonable, but the room was tired and the view only okay. The replacement was bigger and on the opposite side of the hotel. I imagine room 45 is sold as one of the best rooms, and it had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool, but huge trees shade it and it gets no sun. That didn't matter much to us since we were leaving the next day. The staff were less than welcoming, the rooms have seen better days, and several expensive rooms have a poor outlook. Don't be taken in by the 'creative photography' that makes the place look amazing.

Comfort is great here, and the hospitality is outstanding, especially if you get to share a Vin de Paille with the manager. A great spot in the region for a meal, a bed, or both.

I was left outside after booking a room for Sunday night. Nobody answered when I tried to reach the hotel or called me back, so I had to find somewhere else to stay at short notice. Really bad service!
