The roomy suite felt romantic and private, and the jacuzzi fit in much more tastefully than I expected. It’s in a converted stone farmhouse in the tiny village of Chirols. Marinou was warm and welcoming, and brought us a delicious breakfast in the morning. I’d happily recommend Chez Marinou for a night or two in Ardèche.

The homemade breakfast was such a treat: jam, fresh orange juice, and a waffle just out of the oven. Our host was so attentive and really spoiled us. The room’s spa was amazing, and the whole place felt peaceful and welcoming, like a little couples’ retreat. My husband got away without a single mosquito bite, while they seemed to love me 🤣. Still, I’d absolutely recommend it for a romantic break.

That vaulted stonework gives the guesthouse so much charm, and the jacuzzi was fantastic. We were welcomed so warmly, and breakfast was full of fresh produce. It was a magical night. We’ll be back!

The private spa was a lovely extra, and the apartment was both clean and quiet. Marilou welcomed us with real warmth and kindness, then made us a perfect breakfast herself, with orange juice, crepes, jams, and everything homemade. I highly recommend it.

Breakfast arrived right at the time we wanted, made with fresh and/or homemade ingredients. Tucked away in the Ardèche mountains, it was a quiet, quality stay with discreet service, just right for recharging as a couple. We’ll be back!
