Au Coeur Du Paradis

I was so grateful to meet Yannick while trekking the GR2 on reunion. Of all the gites I stayed in, he was my favourite host. He was super friendly, his English made it easy for me as a non-native French speaker, and his hospitality went beyond what I expected. The place is beautiful, with an amazing view. When I’m back in cilaos, I’d definitely stay at Yannick’s place again. Thank you, Yannick!

The breakfast was lovely, with homemade waffles, crepes and jams, and there’s a fully equipped kitchen for making meals, plus hot drinks you can help yourself to. Our room was just right, and the host was really welcoming. We stayed one night after hiking in the Mafate cirque. The house more than lives up to its name, with an exceptional view. A fantastic place!

The children loved staying here, and we’d happily recommend it. We had a very warm welcome, and our hosts were always available when we needed help. The view is incredible, and breakfast comes with lots of homemade jams. It was a magical, relaxing stay in an exceptional setting.

Geneviève and Yannick are such lovely hosts. They share their knowledge of the island and make it easy to enjoy a convivial moment together. Breakfast is generous and homemade, with little tasty surprises, and the rooms are spacious and decorated in soft colors. Poésie, their dog, greets you affectionately too. It’s a peaceful place, with a magical view over the Cirque de Cilaos at both sunset and sunrise. An unforgettable stay, and we’ll be back next year! 😊😊🐶
