Hotel Restaurant La Chaumiere Du Lac

I booked three rooms for two nights as a professional group, on an evening stopover basis, which was supposed to include dinner and breakfast. My own room was meant to include breakfast only at €50 a day. The advertised rates weren’t honored, with an extra €50 charged, and breakfast was then billed separately at €10. So the evening stopover didn’t actually exist, and the total went up by €20 per room per day. The workers were so cold overnight that they left the next morning and asked me to find another hotel, or they’d leave the job site. We were told not to flush at night because it makes noise. Rooms weren’t cleaned between nights, tables weren’t cleared, and we had to take our breakfast trays back ourselves. It was like “Nightmare at the hotel,” what a joke!

A fantastic spot with clean, cosy rooms and attentive service. It’s a family-run hotel like in the old days. Top.

Top.

The room is simple, comfortable, and practical, and we really appreciated how they accommodated our needs in the mornings. Dinner was a real treat, excellent, and the lakeside setting is wonderful. The hosts made us feel at ease right away with their warm welcome. We had a very pleasant stay at this family-run place. Thanks for everything, we’d gladly return.
