The location felt dangerous, and I didn’t want to go out at night, let alone be active then. The building was dirty throughout, in the apartments and shared areas. My apartment needed months of cleaning to deal with dirt left by previous occupants in all sorts of unexpected places. The building also had weeks-long elevator problems, with a terrible squeak every time someone used it. Before I arrived, I was choosing between two residences. I would only book this one if my apartment wasn’t above the railway, because I wanted to avoid noise. A month before arrival, the manager changed my apartment at the last moment and said there was complete sound insulation, even above the railway. That was a hoax, and sleeping was difficult. If you’re an international student, especially if you don’t speak French, be prepared for scams. I didn’t get my 500 euros deposit back. At the final inventory, they made me sign for replacement of things in the apartment that hadn’t even been mentioned, taking advantage of my limited French and trust in the manager. At the inventory, the manager will tell you everything is fine and that most of the deposit will be returned. After I consulted them, French lawyers told me this was a common type of fraud. I don’t recommend these apartments at all. There are many similar places for the same price.

These are nice, affordable studios for students. Heating is included at no extra cost, along with the electricity bill, and the heating system works perfectly. Bedding is also changed at least once a month without an extra charge. It’s comparatively good.

There’s a train station nearby, so it gets very noisy. The place is old and lots of things are broken.
