The bar area was nice, with good music, and breakfast was good value. The beds were comfortable, the climate control was easy to use, and the shower worked well. It’s central and close to shops and restaurants, with friendly staff and good value for money. Seems practical for families, young couples, or a short stay.

The room itself was perfectly good, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. I liked the funky interior, and the location was fairly central but still quiet. The view from the bedroom was just a wall and a roof, though. We’d been told when booking that there was somewhere to keep our bikes, but the staff didn’t know anything about the request. They eventually let us put them in the gym, which wasn’t in use anyway. Also, this hotel isn’t accessible. You have to climb several stairs to reach the tiny lift, which wouldn’t fit a wheelchair or pushchair. That didn’t affect us, but could be an issue for someone else.

The website says under “Getting here / Getting around / Good to know” that there’s a bike garage, “Garage à vélos.” But when we called, nobody knew of a secure place for our mountain bikes. We were counting on the facility described online, so please update the website.

The location and cleanliness were the only positives for me. I stayed Jan 31 to Feb 7, 2026, for seven nights, and had cold showers for six of them in the middle of winter. Hot water only came back on my last night, after staff finally realized the central heating system had failed and it took another day to fix. For a three-star hotel, hot water is the bare minimum. At first I thought the problem might just be a one-off, but there was still no hot water the second night. The front desk said nobody else had complained and insisted there was no wider issue, even when I said it seemed like the central system. Since they said it was only my room, I asked to move. The manager said no rooms were free and that I’d have to wait until the next day. I did move then, but the new room had no hot water either. My first room, number 205 at the end of the corridor, also barely had WiFi. The signal was too weak to stream even a basic YouTube video. The hotel’s technical staff later confirmed this, and the connection improved only after I changed rooms. The staff were friendly, but they weren’t responsive or proactive about fixing the problems. This was one of my worst hotel stays and definitely not worth the money. Stay at your own risk.
