The room gets really hot, even in February, and the air conditioning didn’t do enough, so we had to leave the window open overnight. The beds weren’t very comfortable either, which made this better for a couple of nights at most. The hotel was clean and nicely presented, and the staff were all very friendly. It’s just around the corner from the metro into central Paris, with the little Mairie De Clichy area across the road for convenience shops and Boulangeries.

We arrived at night to a decent room, though it was a little cold. When we asked the desk clerk for towels and flip flops, he said they didn’t have any. Those felt like basic things a hotel room should provide. He also talked at length about various problems that had nothing to do with us. Terrible service.

The room was on the small side, but it was spotless and well maintained, and worked very well for a few days. Metro station no. 13 is just steps away, making it possible to get around in 20-30 minutes. Check-in was quick, the staff were lovely and polite, and breakfast was great. A good experience.

The worst part was the towel situation. The towels were small, and the second one we saw late at night had blood on it, though we hadn’t used it. The night shift woman on July 26th wasn’t cooperative and gave us a tiny foot towel. A man eventually brought two towels that fit, after she had said there were no towels for us. On our last night, we also found the mattress cover stained with yellow-brown liquid after staff had come in to clean, which we hadn’t requested. The mattress itself was thin and uncomfortable, and the bedroom was small, though probably adequate for a night or two. The bathroom was cramped and a little rusty around the edges. The water could suddenly turn scalding hot or freezing cold. I’d also read reviews mentioning bug infestations, and I think this kind of poor maintenance needs to be checked. It’s completely unacceptable. Please spend your money at another hotel that’s worth the cost.
