The room’s heating and air conditioning didn’t work, even though it was around 5-6°C outside. We called reception, which was already hard to reach, and asked for two extra blankets so the room would be warm when we got back at night. The receptionist said he’d come check and bring them, but after more than 40 minutes, nobody came. We went down to insist and were told they were alone and would handle it later. When we returned, there was still no radiator, no blankets, and no fix. At 3 a.m. I went down again. The receptionist on duty was dismissive, showed no empathy, and answered rudely. We were told there was only one duvet and no radiator, the opposite of what we’d been told earlier. When we made a legitimate complaint, he became more aggressive. A room change was offered at that unreasonable hour, despite the problem having been reported hours before. Instead of an apology or understanding, I got shouting, offensive remarks, and an intimidating attitude. He told me to “complain to whoever I wanted” because he “didn’t care about his bosses.” I was verbally harassed, followed to the elevator, and insulted again. I was overwhelmed and ended up in tears. My vacation became a nightmare. I also had to call repeatedly and even knock on the counter several times to get staff to come out of the office. That’s unacceptable in a hotel. If you want kindness, proactive service, and problems handled properly, this isn’t the place. I found indifference, poor management, and treatment bordering on verbal abuse. I wouldn’t recommend it under any circumstances. There are many other options with far better service. A horrific experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

The staff were great and easy to approach, and I enjoyed our five-night stay as a couple. Our room was comfortable, a good temperature, quiet, and the beds were comfortable too. It was cleaned daily, with fresh towels, vacuumed floors, and remade beds. The hotel isn’t as new as some other Ibis places we’ve stayed, but the facilities were still great. It’s a safe, comfortable area and handy for getting around Paris, with a five-minute walk to Metro lines 13 and 14 and RER C. We preferred that it wasn’t as busy as central locations. There are lots of supermarkets, Boulangeries, Brasseries, and quick food options nearby. One thing to know if you’re a light sleeper: there are often sirens because this is an area with the Tribunal court. I didn’t mind, but it could feel like a lot if you’re not used to city noise. We’d happily come back next time we visit Paris.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and Porte de Clichy metro station is within walking distance, with lifts and escalators. My only letdown was that the hotel wouldn’t store my luggage overnight after checkout, even though I was coming back to stay there again. I only needed to go out of town for a couple of nights and didn’t want to haul my bag on and off the train throughout the trip. They said it was their security policy. I’d understand that more easily if I weren’t a member and they didn’t already have my personal information.

Our family paid for breakfast, but there wasn’t much beyond croissants and coffee. On weekends breakfast was supposed to run until 11:00, yet the eggs were already gone by 9:45 and staff said there wouldn’t be any more. Is a hotel chain this large really unable to fry 10 eggs for guests and keep them available until breakfast ends? The breakfast situation was extremely poor.

The room was quiet and comfortable, and the beds were very comfortable too. The area felt fantastic and safe, with grocery stores, pharmacies, casual cafes, and the metro all nearby. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good and filling, and we always had hot water with no other room issues. In general, it’s a good hotel for a restful stay. But for three nights in a row my key card wouldn’t open the door. Each time I had to go from the 5th floor down to reception on the 1st, then wait as long as 40 minutes for staff to sort it out. One night they couldn’t open my room at all, so I had to sleep in a different one.
