Adagio Access Paris Clichy

The room was roomy and having a kitchenette was useful, though it felt tired and not very comfortable. For the price, it was fine, but we wouldn’t return. The neighborhood was lovely, and the bread shop across the road was great. There were six of us, so taking an Uber into central Paris for about 14€ each way worked out better than public transport. The hotel staff weren’t welcoming. I know there can be a language barrier, but a smile costs nothing. One night the fire alarm sounded at 12.30am. We went to reception with two frightened kids, but the staff member there seemed completely unconcerned. There was no guidance or explanation beyond a casual “false alarm,” and then it went off again.

We’ve stayed here four times before or after trips to Disney because it’s affordable and works well for families. On our latest visit, though, the kitchen cupboard was broken and coming loose, and the bathroom was quite dirty, with a used tissue on the floor. The rooms seem to have declined, especially when it comes to cleanliness. I know this is affordable family accommodation, but I think housekeeping needs to pay more attention.

The location is handy, but the nightly price doesn’t match the upkeep or service. The drains are slow and smelly, and the shower floods. Temperature control in the room wasn’t available to me, which made sleeping less restful. Rooms don’t seem well maintained. There are extra charges for things like a second small towel when you’re staying alone. The laundry payment machine doesn’t always work, and reception can be very sparsely staffed. Most of the time you need a code to get into the building. Apart from one employee, the reception staff weren’t pleasant to deal with. There’s a good location here, but the place could do better for what it charges.

I found the room cold by morning because the air conditioning was limited both in temperature and hours of operation. There was a pod coffee maker, but no pods or tea and coffee supplies. Wi-Fi in my room was so weak it kept dropping out, and there were no meals or room service outside the morning continental breakfast. The location suited my needs, but I wouldn’t suggest staying here. The bathroom and drains smelled strongly, the shower door was broken and leaked, and bugs were coming from behind the headboard. Reception was rarely staffed, so entering the building meant using a code.
