By the river, with friendly and efficient service and lovely food. The menu de jour was €24. Not to be missed if you’re in the area.

The river setting is lovely and the service was friendly. I’d recommend coming for a drink with friends. But the outdoor tables were very close together, and the area felt crowded. Social distancing definitely wasn’t being respected, something the restaurant should improve. We went after one of the vineyards we visited recommended it, but were disappointed by the whole meal. The €32 menu included an appetizer, main and dessert, plus one amuse-bouche. That little bite was rabbit pâté with a very strong, unpleasant aftertaste, though I’d never tried rabbit before, so maybe that’s just how it tastes. The white fish carpaccio starter was bland, with almost no seasoning. The fish seemed unsuitable to serve raw and was a bit chewy, though that could just be my taste. The duck main came with some sort of crisp biscuit and raw vegetables, including radish and green pepper. The combination felt odd and unbalanced, and the sauce wasn’t special or a good match for the sides. Dessert was a strawberry Saint-Honoré, basically two puff pastries with pink custard, chantilly and fresh strawberries. Nothing about it wowed me. Overall, I was pretty unsatisfied and didn’t feel dinner was worth the price.

It looks great, with a fantastic and very scenic riverside location. I didn’t eat or drink here today, but I’ll do that in future.

The riverside setting gives the place a fresh feel. We didn’t get mosquitoes at lunch, though it was a chilly day, so maybe there are more in the evening. The food was tasty and the portions well balanced, and the staff were friendly even when it was full. It isn’t cheap. Service was very quick at first, but we waited a long time for coffee, which I think they’d forgotten.

Delicious food and wine, with great service in a stunning spot on the riverbank!
