The meal here is a whole experience, not just a chance to try the famous "chocolat Royal" dessert. We made lovely memories at this family-run hotel, with its welcoming staff, riverside setting, and affordable prices. We’ll be back.

We stopped for lunch as a group and enjoyed the lovely riverside setting and very good food. Everyone welcomed us warmly. I’d love to return and spend a couple of nights here.

Dinner was very good for the adults, though expensive. The children get the same dishes in smaller portions, so the menu didn’t feel especially suited to kids. The room had plenty of space for two adults and two children, but summer was noisy with the windows open, and there’s no air conditioning. Breakfast also felt pricey for such a limited, repetitive selection. I wouldn’t call it family-friendly.

The cooking manages to feel both simple and sophisticated, with some really interesting dishes. We enjoyed the gazpacho with cheese, and the fish, meat, and pistachio terrine are all worth trying. For around 50 euro per person with one glass of wine, it’s not that expensive. One of the best restaurants in Clunny.

We stayed overnight as a family and had dinner here too. The food was very good and well worth the price, and the kid’s menu was thoughtfully prepared. If you’re passing through, this is definitely where I’d eat.
