I enjoyed the breakfast and dinner, and had to try one of their 15 year old cognacs. The waitress explained how it was made and matured in detail, and she and the rest of the staff were efficient and very friendly. It's an established old French hotel in the town center, full of charm. The bedrooms have been recently redecorated and upgraded, and everything was clean and comfortable. It stayed quiet at night despite the central location. There's free overnight parking about 80 metres away. I'd recommend it.

I was recommended the hotel restaurant by two different staff members at cognac houses. I ordered oysters, but they looked really poor and didn't taste fresh. The next morning, a nice local older man recommended the same restaurant. I showed him a photo and told him what I thought, and he agreed that they didn't look fresh or like the oysters he'd had before. I don't know if this is the usual quality, a problem with ingredient control, or something else.

We only stayed one night, which was our one regret. We'd gladly return for longer and highly recommend Hotel Heritage Cognac. The location is both on a main shopping street and remarkably peaceful, with the Cognac houses just a short walk away. Arriving by train, we could easily walk to the hotel and explore the charming town on foot. The staff were warm, kind, and genuinely courteous. The pillows and bedding were divine, some of the most comfortable we've experienced.

Right in the heart of downtown Cognac, the Heritage Hotel is a great base for a visit. Everything is around a ten minute walk in any direction. The rooms are newly decorated and fully equipped, and the service is excellent. Enjoy...

We had a lovely stay in this clean hotel, with really good breakfasts. The air conditioning was amazing in this week's heat, and we were tempted to stay in our rooms! I dropped a star because the night receptionist had no patience with English people trying their best with school standard French. It was a shame, as it put me off trying. Apart from that, a lovely stay.
