Boutique Hôtel Maison Nova

Collioure is incredibly beautiful, and Maison Nova looks out over the small town and mountains. The village is just a short walk away. We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back again and again. Receptionist Chloe was kind and helpful, the room was very comfortable, and the hotel facilities were amazing. The pool, hammam, sauna and on-site massage were just what we needed for a relaxing vacation.

Maison Nova has the appearance of a boutique luxury hotel, but its operations, service and amenities don't justify a 5-star classification, especially at 350€ per night. Our room had visible black mold and mildew in the bathroom. A fan cover fell into the toilet, and the AC kept resetting to 28°C every two hours overnight, so sleeping was uncomfortable. We reported the problems, but they weren't fixed. Management only got back to us days later with a vague offer of a discount on a future stay, which wasn't much help since we won't be returning. Calling it a boutique alternative to a large luxury hotel doesn't excuse missing basic 5-star standards. A gym or restaurant might be optional, but cleanliness, working climate control, quiet rooms and responsive management aren't.

That view from the bed was incredible, and it was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. We stayed one night in the massane room and loved it. Getting picked up from the parking lot by golf cart was a fun, comfy bonus.

We really enjoyed our stay at Maison Nova. The heated pool, sauna, and Hammam were all great, and breakfast had lots of tasty, fresh options. The staff were kind, helpful, and professional throughout. Lola replied promptly to our requests by email, and once we arrived, Chloé did a lot to make us comfortable. The location and service were excellent.
