Les Appartements de Collioure

The apartment was modern and clean, and the location is fabulous. But we had a terrible experience. Heating didn’t work, and they gave us no real response. They extended parking until 2 pm, but we arrived a few minutes late and found ourselves locked out. We kept trying to reach them for over an hour with no answer, until we eventually called the police and the gate somehow opened. Check-in at 4 pm and checkout at 10 am are also very tight, with the code expiring at those times.

We couldn’t make use of the little terrace because the weather wasn’t good enough, though it looks like a lovely spot for breakfast in the sun. The owners were flexible about our arrival time, and the parking space was very useful, even if the access street is narrow. Inside, the decor is beautiful and stylish, with comfortable bedding, including a very good sofa bed. We also appreciated the Nespresso machine, though we only noticed the filter coffee maker when we were leaving. A lovely apartment in a particularly good location for enjoying Collioure.

Having a parking space was the real bonus on my June business trip. The historic district is close to everything. The signs could be clearer, and the parking area could use a spruce-up.

The 4 pm check-in and 10 am checkout felt a little restrictive. Still, Paulilles was clean, and the recently renovated room felt modern, spacious, and comfortable for two. It had room for a bedroom, living area, kitchen, and balcony. I liked the large parking lot, although it doesn’t connect straight to the building. Using the supplied code for all the entrances was convenient. I stayed for two nights and three days.
