This is a great base for a weekend in Colmar, with a comfortable room and easy access to all the sights. The Saint-Josse car park is an easy walk away and costs €3 for 24 hours. You're right among the colorful houses and things to do. The room was on the third floor, with no lift, but was spacious and had a good rooftop view. It felt dated, though the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. When we reported a blocked sink, staff fixed it quickly. Breakfast was okay, but the awkward room layout led to queues for plates and hot drinks. The pastries were a little overdone and there wasn't much fruit. The hotel and common rooms felt tired and unloved, although the walls are around 500 years old. We'd stay again for the location and comfortable room, but the common areas would benefit from a refresh.

We always felt like VIPs here. The room was just right for relaxing and watching people go by, and the hotel was well run and kept up. The employees were warm and ready to help us make the most of this magical place. Such a gem, right in the middle of everything Colmar draws people to see.

For our 2025 Christmas market trip, we spent a week at Hotel Saint-Martin just before Christmas, and it made the holiday special. We'd visited Colmar before and wanted to come back. For six years, my wife and I have taken our family to Christmas markets around Europe, and Hotel Saint-Martin is one of our favorites. It sits right in the heart of Colmar's old town, yet it's a short walk out to catch a taxi or train. There are top restaurants and pubs just a few feet away, so it was easy and fun to find dinner or a late evening drink. The hotel restaurant serves breakfast, and the staff were super attentive and on top of anything we needed. We spoke several times before arriving with Francois, who was such a kind gentleman. He arranged for our two rooms to be close together, and they even shared a connecting door, which made the stay much nicer. Each day the rooms were tended to and ready for us when we got back from touring the nearby markets. We can't say enough good things about Hotel Saint-Martin and its staff. We'd give it 10 stars if we could, and highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone visiting Colmar.

The room was average in size and decor, but functional for an historic property. Staff were friendly and tried to help when a noxious smell came from the shower drain. They couldn't fix it the first night, which I found unacceptable, although they managed to resolve it the next day after I'd slept through the smell. They should have paid more attention or changed my room as I originally asked. It put a negative tone on the rest of our stay. The location itself is great, right in Colmar's old town, with restaurants nearby and everything in the old town within walking distance.
