The hotel itself was fantastic, with everything we needed. The gym was great, the sauna was clean, the Wi-Fi worked really well for Netflix and email, and the shower had strong pressure and looked fairly new. The bathroom was modern and clean. Our bed was reasonably comfortable, even with my bad back, and the huge window was lovely on a hot sunny day. There was air conditioning, USB and C-type charging, and a hairdryer. I even saw the cleaners carefully working through every part of the room next door. The area was in the middle of regeneration, with roadworks and temporary boarding around, and it looked a bit like Spain, to be honest. The location isn't central, though it's easy enough to commute from and feels safer than the busy spots in central Paris. Depending on how you travel, the Eiffel Tower took 45-60 minutes, or about 20 minutes by tram. Taxis were €15-20 each way, and metro travel was €12 for unlimited rides. It's a cheaper version of similar hotels closer in. We booked through on the beach and hadn't been told about the construction. Still, we had a fantastic short break and wish we'd stayed longer.

The gym had a treadmill, exercise bike, rowing machine, crossfit machine and a cable station with chin-up options. The views from there were really nice. There's a sauna too, though I didn't try it. I arrived in the evening to find the power in my room wasn't working properly. The AC also only worked with the window open, which rather defeats the point when it's hot. Reception moved me after I reported it, but there was no phone in the room, so I had to go all the way downstairs to tell them. In the new room everything worked apart from the hairdryer, which I didn't need. The room was clean and tidy and did the job. The only other drawback was water escaping from the shower and making the bathroom floor wet.

A coffee maker with no cups, a kettle with no mugs, and if you ask for an iron, you have to bring it back within an hour. There was noise too. The hot water wasn't working. Staff initially said it felt hot to them, which was unbelievable, then their technician confirmed about ten minutes later that there was a problem. Really, stay away. First and last time.

After a month here, it started to feel like a home away from home. I'd definitely recommend it if you need somewhere in this area. I'll miss the staff!
