We only stayed one night on the way to Puy du Fou, about 20 minutes away, but we'd happily choose the same place again. The hosts were warm and friendly, and gave us a short tour of the property and surroundings. It really is a former school, complete with themed decor. The huge living area has a comfy vintage mini-lounge, books for all ages, and lots of board games. A large old-fashioned blackboard takes up a central spot, and there are vintage wooden games to play indoors and outdoors. A lovely surprise for the kids. The rooms are charming and beautiful, with new, attractive, comfortable linens and bedding. There are thoughtful extras throughout: tea and coffee, a fully equipped kitchen, a large fridge, Wi-Fi, and earplugs for anyone bothered by the church bells.

A pretty, unusual place that's practical too, with nice decor and plenty of games. It had everything we needed for a pleasant night, and Puy du Fou is an ideal 25 minutes away.

The gîte is excellent, and the owner is friendly. It’s well placed for outings to parks and activities, with Puy du Fou about 20 minutes away and Futuroscope roughly an hour by car. SRH
