The snack bar is run well, and the volunteers there are devoted to rescuing animals. That was a bright spot, because the accommodation itself felt neglected. Weeds have taken over the path to the pool, brambles cover the terrace, and the room smelled musty. The light wasn't working and there weren't enough sheets. Such a shame, since the place could be much nicer. The host didn't seem interested in making guests feel welcome. He can come across as friendly at first, but seems to have some serious shortcomings. If he doesn't enjoy hosting holidaymakers, perhaps he should stop. Payment is cash only, and that wasn't mentioned anywhere.

For that price, staying in a hotel would have been much more enjoyable. It's a shame. The room was hard to get to, particularly at night, and there was no pool. We weren't welcomed, either. There weren't any outlets for bedside lamps, so the lighting really needs work. The service didn't justify the price.

Our family rented the whole cottage for five days in mid-August, but after driving 500 km we were told by the neighbor that only one room was left, for takeout or vacancy. We'd phoned the owner a few days earlier to confirm when we'd arrive. The full rental had already been paid through Booking.com. After we complained, Booking.com refunded us and said the owners had booked the cottage several times on different websites. The neighbor told us to leave. To this day, the owners haven't contacted us, apologized, offered somewhere else to stay, or provided any compensation. We ended up driving home in the middle of the night, and our vacation was ruined. Thanks a lot ;(

We stayed a few nights in the goat room and had a great time. The view across the plain and out among the animals was wonderfully different, and the place was quiet with good beds. The room was nicely renovated and decorated, and the owner gave us a warm welcome, explaining that we could use the pool whenever we liked. Breakfast was served in a big room where it was easy to chat with our hosts. Thanks for the good humor! (the brother and sister)
