The village is peaceful and the setting is beautiful, which made this a perfect holiday spot. Alexandre and Sophie were lovely hosts, and the room was gorgeous. They did all they could to make our stay special. One thing to keep in mind is that Corsica is very expensive, so eating out costs more than on the mainland. That’s no reflection on pets des Oliviers, though. It’s a wonderful place to stay, go for it!

After arriving in Calvi, the hosts even came to pick us up and drive us to the stay. They’re very friendly, and this is a great option in Calenzana if you’re looking for somewhere near the GR20 start or finish. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully styled. The yard is lovely, with a small porch, a heated pool overlooking the valley, and room to play pentac. There’s also a lounge room for relaxing in bad weather, with lots of games, a football table, and a little kitchen. Breakfast was delicious. A great find in Calenzana.

We stayed at a lot of places during our two-week trip, and this was the best one. The pool has glorious mountain views, the decor is beautiful, and breakfast was generous with everything homemade. Highly recommend!

I booked this lovely ‘Gite’ in a rush and feel very lucky to have found it. The village is a great base, and the hosts, accommodation, and breakfast all deserve 5 stars. I’d go back without hesitation.
