We had lots of lovely conversations with the other guests, who were very nice. The hosts were full of consideration and clearly care about people, not just the money. The breakfasts were sumptuous, and it was easy to prepare meals there. They also shared plenty of good tips for exploring the area. The building is lovely, the surroundings are beautiful and the village is quiet. Everything was very clean and tastefully decorated. It’s hard to ask for more from a chambre d'hotes.

The hosts went out of their way to make our stay special, and we had such a good time that we’ll definitely visit again. The interior is lovely, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and breakfast in the garden came with homemade jams and other treats. This is the best place ever!

We ended up staying three nights at Les Fréjals because of the lovely hosts and all the things to do nearby. It became the highlight of our family road trip through France. We’d called Luc and Martine on the spur of the moment, and they had a room for all four of us, two adults and two children. Our LE CAUSSE NOIR room was perfect, exceptionally clean, very new, and well looked after. Luc and Martine were warm and attentive, always checking whether we needed anything. They made cocoa for the kids and told us a lot about the area. On Easter Monday, we planned a hike and learned the stores would be closed, so they offered us a picnic lunch. It was perfect. Breakfast was amazing too, everything tasted so good. Thank you so much, Luc and Martine, for being such a special part of our holiday. We hope to see you again one day.

Fresh fruit from the owners’ garden was part of the brilliant breakfast every day, and they gave us useful directions and advice about the area throughout our stay. We spent five days here and had a fantastic time. The owners were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. The place is fully equipped. We could chill water for long hikes, make tea to enjoy in the garden at sunset, and keep food cool for the next day’s picnic. The rooms are well maintained, with WiFi, AC, and a beautiful bathroom. I warmly recommend staying here, and I’ll come back on my next visit to Gorge du Tarne.
