We only stopped for a meal, so I can’t say anything about the hotel. The restaurant was very good, and the dessert was wonderful. I enjoyed it a lot. The setting could be superb, but it needs upkeep, including fresh paint, cleaner floors, and weeding around the pool and green areas. A shame.

We’d booked and paid for an overnight stay here last year as part of planning this year’s holiday. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to find the hotel closed. Judging by the state of the place, it had been shut for quite a while. Apparently it had gone bankrupt. Thankfully, our son and son-in-law quickly found us another night’s stay in Millau. Did our Euros just vanish into thin air? Shouldn’t customers who have already booked and paid be told when a business goes bankrupt? This is a good reminder that having a good travel agent and travel insurance is definitely not overkill. I’d warn people against booking here now, or you could lose your money.

We were only there for one night, but the breakfast was generous and superb, and the atmosphere felt really warm. We didn’t stay long enough to try the pool or have dinner. Just note that the pool is meant for relaxing.

The food was very good, and the rooms are spacious with everything you need. But the place feels very dated and needs a facelift, including the exterior. It isn’t living up to its potential. I’ve stayed twice now and, to put it mildly, nothing has changed.
