B&B HOTEL Compiègne

We stayed two nights on the way to Disneyland Paris and used the hotel as a base for a sightseeing trip into Paris by train. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and in very good condition. It all felt quite new. The staff welcomed us warmly, spoke really good English, and gave the kids a lovely welcome gift. Free electric car charging is available too. One tip: take a photo of your door code. I left mine in the room and struggled to remember it when I got back after reception closed at 9 PM. The after-hours number didn’t seem to work, though after a few attempts I recalled the code. For dinner, Del Arte next door had fantastic pizzas. A family of five paid around €60 for drinks and a main each after the hotel guest discount. The restaurant staff spoke little English, but were very nice, and ordering was easy enough. We ate there again the second night. A great stay overall!

I’d say this was probably the worst hotel I’ve visited. Nobody told me that the room wouldn’t be cleaned unless I requested it in advance. I asked for the service, which seems like a normal thing to expect, but something apparently went wrong with the waitress and the room was left uncleaned. Nobody notified me or explained anything. I had to notice it myself and ask what happened. Incredible.

The reception staff were welcoming and friendly, and the room was a good standard for the price. It’s a clean, well-managed hotel, and I’d absolutely recommend it for a short stay.

An easy place to stop for the night, clean and well organized, with everything needed for a decent breakfast. It’s just outside Compiègne and easy to reach from the highway, making it a convenient overnight break for tourists driving south from northern Europe. To visit Compiègne, you can drive or take a Bolt taxi for about 10 euros, roughly a 10-minute trip. The city has plenty of restaurants and attractions, and you could readily spend a day or two there.
