I came to Compiègne for my sister’s wedding and was pleasantly surprised by the service. Reception and the rest of the staff were all welcoming and very friendly. We booked two twin rooms; they were comfortable and spacious for the price. The bathroom felt small, but that’s quite normal.

The staff made us feel like old friends, even though we were there only briefly. We checked in at noon, which was a bonus, and the location worked perfectly for everything we wanted to see on foot during the day. This was by far the best located Ibis Budget I’ve stayed in in France. I’m looking forward to coming back in the fall.

Service, ambience, cleanliness, and value were all excellent, each a 5/5. The food was very good at 4/5, though I wish they’d had bananas at breakfast. I’d stay here again. Overall, 4.8/5.

It’s a budget Ibis, so don’t expect luxury, but it makes a very suitable stop in a delightful town. We’ve stayed here many times overnight, and it’s always reliable. The rooms have been redecorated and refurbished, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff are really friendly. It delivers what it promises. The older parts of town are well worth exploring. Highly recommended.

The room was small, but fine for us since we were just staying one night on a cycling trip. Breakfast was okay: croissants, small baguettes, cheese, Nutella and the like, plus yogurt and muesli.
