Lequatorze

The owner was lovely and very helpful, even printing our documents in the morning. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh local produce and flexible times. The place feels homely, and the rooms are very sufficient. We stayed in both standard and superior rooms. The superior one had a nice sofa area and lovely bathroom, though using the shower was awkward because there was no cubicle or stand to hold it over the bath.

The host is very welcoming, and the place has all the comforts. It’s a nice place to stay, apart from the squeaky flooring.

Breakfast was okay, but the room wasn’t worth the price. It was tiny, with a window in the ceiling, in a small house converted into rooms. Getting to the bathroom meant climbing some very noisy stairs. The bathroom had no door, and everything was so low that you had to bend down for the sink, toilet, and bathtub. You could only wash sitting in the tub. Noise from the shared staircase and the other rooms carried through.

Frédérique looked after us so well at Le Quatorze, and we had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re ever in Compiègne.
