The hotel team were really nice and friendly, and understood English quite well. My room was clean, though I think the place could use some renovation. Street noise nearby is clearly audible, and the hotel is around 10 km from Compiègne’s southern entrance to the motorway toward Paris. The restaurant food was good, but nothing special, and breakfast didn’t have a very large selection. All in all, it worked well for a quick overnight stay.

The staff were friendly and polite, and they listened to our concerns, which I appreciated. They gave us a reduction. There’s a lovely park outside that’s great for kids and pets. With more attention to detail, the hotel could be a much better place to stay, and I hope the team can make those improvements. Our rooms weren’t well ventilated and had absolutely no frills. There was no soap or shower gel, the drain was blocked, and the TV didn’t work. Rain at night exposed faulty drainpipes, with water pouring noisily onto the cars outside. Such a disappointment, and not three-star quality.

The buffet is still good, though Campania seems to have changed its menus nationwide for the worse, with fewer main dishes. This one is still better than most, and the staff are excellent.

We needed somewhere to stay late at night, and they stayed open an extra 15 minutes for us. Wonderful people, amazing service.

It was a normal 2.5-star standard. Most importantly, the room and bed were clean.
